Very good story! It is well written and the idea is interesting. I suspected a couple of things, like Elizabeth being taken over by an alien or under some alien drug or the likes, but an AU Elizabeth was a surprise :-)
But the ending is very evil *pouts*
Maybe you could do a companion-piece that shows us how our poor Elizabeth fares in the Alternate Reality.
Author's Response: Yay! As for the evil endingness, I tend to do that a lot for angsty circumstances (I get random angsty periods where I'm all "MUST...WRITE...ANGST...NOW!!!". Oh well). Companion-piece? Hmm...*ponders*
